Greetings all and welcome to my world. My name is Bruce Mayhill and I am the owner, lead photographer, and head dishwasher of Mayhill Photo. Here you will be able to get a chance to see photos from recent weddings and portrait sessions as well as see what sort of ridiculous things I am up to in my personal life.
I recently moved to Concord, NC (just outside of Charlotte) from Los Angeles, CA. My lungs are still getting used to the fresh air while my wife is still getting used to the possibility of snow! I am primarily a wedding photographer and my recipe for great wedding photography is a carefully crafted formula consisting of the following: a documentary approach, a touch of traditionalism (so as to appease Grandma!), and fashion shoot attitude. This is all touched off with a mild-spicy dash of insanity. Fasten your seatbelt, this is not going to be a boring ride!
Kristen and Christopher are getting married in August at The Saratoga Springs and it should be a great wedding. This couple is a lot of fun and up for most anything as is evident in the last shot. Can't wait to hang out with them again. Especially since they know all of the great restaurants in town. Yummmmmmmmy!
And yes, Chris...I do have some mustard for you! (Everyone else, don't ask!)
So, I finally (FINALLY!) got Jennifer and Kevin's slide show finished. They had an amazing wedding at the Atrium and the food, oh my the food, was fantastic as always. Debra, from the Atrium in uptown Charlotte, rocked it out and Janet from La Tea Da's brought this baby home. Of course, a little credit has to go to Jennifer and Kevin as well for being so cool, awesome and gorgeous. Yeah, I said it...I think Kevin is good looking. Don't get me wrong, Jennifer is smokin'! If you haven't seen her for yourself, play the slide show below but first, crank up the volume.
Thanks you two...good times!
Special thanks to Daniel, Jason and Susan for all of your hard work that day! (I have the best team)
And finally, Nitsa's provided the gorgeous gown, Laura's Bakery did the very yummy cake and Carmen Carmen did the hair, make-up and pampering.
So, tomorrow I will be out at The Saratoga Springs photographing the wedding of Eddie and Keturah. Cool couple with a couple of huge dogs. We traveled far and wide to get to this location and the dogs were good sports.
Ahhh, Rotties will do anything for you for the right treats.
I have PEACHES! So, I have this peach tree and I am very excited because due to the late frost last year...no peaches. This year, however there are tons. In fact, these suckers are "juice runnin' down to the elbow" good. Somebody mentioned peach cobbler but it is way too hot to even look at the oven. Peach margaritas seem like a much better option.
